About
Louie’s journey into the world of bespoke gunmaking began with an apprenticeship at the world renowned James Purdey and Sons in London, where he learned and honed his stockmaking skills under the guidance of master craftsman, Richard Bayley. From a young age, he possessed a passion for quality and craftsmanship, seeking to understand the intricate processes that lead to creating exceptional gun stocks. Moving from London to Scotland, Louie spent two years at McKay Brown Gunmakers gaining knowledge in a wider range of processes.
After years of dedication and experience, Louie established his own workshop in the picturesque countryside of Aberdeenshire. Each and every stock he creates is a true reflection of his commitment to excellence, tailored to the unique requirements of his clients who share a discerning appreciation for luxury. In every piece, Louie strives to merge traditional techniques with classical, but modern aesthetics, ensuring that each creation stands as a testament to his craftsmanship and passion for the art of gunmaking.
